Opportunities to come alongside and help hurting people abound. In almost every church I attend I hear requests for individuals who have had someone recently pass away. One church had four such requests in one meeting. I recently met with a mother whose son had died; I was able to connect her with a local church in her area.
It has been my privilege to continue sharing Compassion’s Calling in my area. I have been encouraged to see churches not only start to apply Compassion’s Calling in their churches but also to start Grief Care programs. Grief Care Fellowship is a program to support grieving people.
Lord willing, I will be attending Hope for the Nation Conference at the Billy Graham Center in North Carolina May 21-23. Prayers are appreciated that I will be able to share with others while I’m there. Prayer is the key that unlocks the doors.
WHEN SOMEONE IS BROKEN,
DON’T TRY TO FIX THEM.
(You Can’t)
WHEN SOMEONE IS HURTING, DON’T
ATTEMPT TO TAKE AWAY THEIR PAIN.
(You Can’t)
INSTEAD, LOVE THEM BY WALKING
BESIDE THEM IN THE HURT.
(You Can)
BECAUSE SOMETIMES WHAT PEOPLE NEED IS
SIMPLY TO KNOW THEY AREN’T ALONE.

Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
